How To Transfer Airtime On MTN Network

Share and Sell is a service from MTN which allows MTN subscribers to send airtime from one MTN sim to another. You will not be charged when sending credit using Share and Sell.

Share and Sell involves the use of a four-digit transfer pin code. If you have never used Share and Sell before, then your pin is the default pin which is 0000. Before you can transfer credit, you have to change the default pin to a new one, so send a message to 777 like this:0000 NEWPIN NEWPIN. Note that NEWPIN should be the four-digit pin you want to use as your Share and Sell pin code. Send the message to 777. For example if you want your pin to be 1234, then send'0000 1234 1234' to 777. You would receive a text message saying your pin has been changed successfully.

You can also change the default pin by dialing the ussd code *601*0000*newpin*newpin#

To transfer airtime to another MTN subscriber just send an sms message to 777 using the following format:

If you have used Share and Sell in the past and cannot remember your pin, you can call the MTN customer service line on 180 and they would reset your pin for you.
